The research project titled PerformFISH, funded by the European Commission, was officially launched in Volos, Greece on 15-16 May 2017. The project focuses on the development of consumer-driven aquaculture production by integrating innovative approaches that can help to ensure the sustainability and competitiveness of the European sea bream and sea bass cultivation industry. The project connects leading researchers and industry across Europe to develop innovative projects to directly address the needs of the sector. The Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) is a partner in the project along with 27 other partners from 10 different countries, encompassing a wide range of technical expertise and know-how in the field of Mediterranean aquaculture. HGK was represented by Renata Barić (Cromaris R&D Manager) and Dane Desnica (Cromaris Production Director) at the kickoff meeting in Volos. The PerformFISH project will run until April 2022 with an overall budget of €7.045 million. The press release is available on the following link.
