„EARTH-TO-MARINE-TO-EARTH VIRTUOUS CYCLE: HARNESSING RESIDUAL BIOMASS OF ANIMAL ORIGIN FOR TERRESTRIAL-MARINE INTEGRATED CIRCULAR ECONOMY“
The project connects communities of aquatic and terrestrial farmers with the aim of promoting innovative circular economies. Selected residues from aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems will be used as resources in this process.
The goal of the project is to create a uniform broodstock originating from Cromaris broodstock with a unique appearance based on the look of wild fish, improve the quality of the produced fry, and adapt to the temperatures of the Adriatic Sea.
„ Actions for Climate Transition by developing Future Aquaculture Strategies and Technologies “
ActFast aims to devise mitigation strategies for climate change, considering regional and species-specific characteristics, increasing production efficiency, health, and welfare of farmed fish and shellfish. The project seeks to increase and diversify production in coastal and rural areas, promoting economic growth and resilience of communities while minimizing environmental impact and reducing the carbon footprint of European aquaculture.
„ Integrative breeding strategies for the transition of EUropean AQUAculture towards sustainable ORGanic production “
EUAqua.Org aims to utilize key technological achievements to overcome the negative aspects of organic aquaculture (higher production costs, limited technological innovations, and low consumer awareness). By integrating various disciplines and approaches, EUAqua.Org will provide essential tools for profitable, efficient, and environmentally acceptable organic aquaculture.
