Cromaris by Giorgio Locatelli

We are proud to present the fruitful collaboration with chef Giorgio Locatelli, one of the most famous European culinary media stars, owner of several prestigious Michelin-starred restaurants, and judge on the Italian Masterchef since 2017.

Giorgio Locatelli is also the protagonist of the Cromaris TV spot for the Italian market!

A few words about one of the most successful culinary virtuosos of today…

Giorgio is considered by many to be one of the best Italian chefs in the UK. Giorgio was brought up on the banks of Lake Maggiore, Italy, in a village called Corgeno. His family ran a Michelin-starred restaurant, giving him an appreciation and understanding of food from an early age. After working for a short spell in local restaurants in North Italy and Switzerland, Giorgio came to England in 1986 to join the kitchens of Anton Edelmann at The Savoy. Four years later Giorgio moved to Paris and worked at Restaurant Laurent and La Tour D’Argent.

In 2002, on the 14th of February, Giorgio and his wife Plaxy, opened his first independent restaurant, Locanda Locatelli, in Seymour Street. The restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star in 2003, which has since been retained. Giorgio is currently  judge of the Italian Master chef since 2017.

We also took Giorgio on a tour of the Rovinj Cromaris fishmonger and selected the freshest Cromaris fish from the daily offer.
