Cromaris, the world’s largest producer of organic white Mediterranean fish, grows organic sea bass, sea bream and meagre in the beautiful landscape of the Adriatic Sea. Due to its commitment to sustainability and responsibility towards environmental protection and compliance with strict ecological standards, Cromaris has the highest standards and European certificates for organic production: EU Organic Farming, AB, Bio Siegel, Naturland and Bio Suisse.
Cromaris BIO fish is fit because it swims on the sea current in the Zadar archipelago, in an untouched part of the Adriatic. It is fed with fish, vegetable proteins and micronutrients that are certified organic and do not contain GMOs. Fish fed in this way contains a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids – Omega-3 fatty acids, which are a natural source of energy and help maintain the functioning of the heart, lungs, blood vessels and immune system. The abundance of dissolved oxygen and the appropriate quality of the sea at Cromaris fish farms ensure quality growth and development.
The production of organic fish in Cromaris is based on the following principles:
Fish food does not contain artificial additives, preservatives, or genetically modified organisms (GMO). It is produced with minimal impact on the environment, ensuring high quality nutrients. All fish food ingredients come from sustainably managed fisheries and organically certified plant sources. This reduces overfishing and preserves natural resources and contributes to the preservation of marine ecosystems.
Our BIO fish live in conditions that enable natural behavior and reduce stress. This helps to maintain their health and vitality. Regular examinations and veterinary supervision by our experts ensure timely identification and prevention of diseases, which reduces the need for antibiotics. Creating conditions as similar as possible to natural habitats contributes to better health and quality of fish.
We apply cultivation methods that minimize water, soil and air pollution. Waste materials are recycled and reused whenever possible. Investing in innovative technologies reduces the energy footprint and optimizes the use of resources, thus protecting the surrounding natural habitats in order to preserve biodiversity.
Cromaris is an active participant in the local community through sponsorships and donations of sports, educational and humanitarian activities and preservation of cultural heritage. As a socially responsible company dedicated to sustainable business, we are involved in numerous projects and activities that contribute to the improvement and progress of the community in which we operate. We invest in continuous education and professional development of our employees to ensure a high level of expertise and satisfaction. We promote sustainable practices at all levels of the company that include waste reduction, recycling and the use of renewable energy sources.
This dedication to sustainability and environmental responsibility makes Cromaris a recognizable brand that offers its customers only the best from the Adriatic Sea, which also enables us to be the best producer of white Mediterranean fish.
