The key to success and outstanding results are our competent and motivated employees. Diversity and equal opportunities, education and professional development, safety at work and providing business opportunities to the local community are imperatives of Cromaris’ business.
Currently, Cromaris has 600+ employees. Cromaris strategically plans, attracts and hires young talents in accordance with current and future business needs. Adris Group’s successful and recognizable internship program “Future in Adris,” which was implemented in several cycles, was the guideline for Cromaris’ internship programs “Future in Cromaris” and “Careers inspired by the sea.” The internship program provides an opportunity for young educated people to continue learning and developing practical knowledge and skills immediately after completing their formal education and gain the experience necessary for further growth and professional development in one of the leaders of mariculture. During the program, all interns are assigned expert mentors who teach them about their areas of expertise at Cromaris and direct them to departments where they can make the greatest contribution. As part of the aforementioned internship programs, more than 30 interns have been employed so far, who are growing with the company, and a large number of them have already taken on extremely important and challenging management functions.

Cromaris promotes initiatives among its employees with the aim of encouraging unity and employee activities outside of working hours, but also supporting a healthy and active lifestyle and preserving the environment.
In cooperation with “Petar Lorini” Elementary School and locals from Sali on Dugi otok, Cromaris’ employees organized a show for children about biodiversity and the importance of marine conservation, as well as making bioballs. About 5,000 bioballs were made, which in the second part of the project, after cleaning the port in Salim, were thrown into the sea by elementary school students and Cromaris and local volunteers together for the purpose of restoring the seabed and preserving the biodiversity of the seabed.

Every year, Cromaris connects more and more with the local and tourist communities in the organization of various events for the promotion of local heritage and customs, such as Tunuara Kali. Cromaris sponsors various sports events in the wider Zadar area, for example the Škraping race on the island of Pašman. Cromaris runners traditionally participate in the Wings for life race. In 2024, the international Bike to Work Day was celebrated for the fourth time, promoting cycling as a healthy and environmentally friendly alternative to driving a car. The three happiest employees who came to work by bicycle won valuable prizes, the first of which was a new bicycle.

In accordance with our strategic priorities, as a socially responsible company whose goal is sustainable business,we are actively involved in numerous socially useful projects and activities that affect the improvement and progress of the local and wider community in which we operate.
Cromaris places a special emphasis on cooperation with schools and faculties, by providing support for education, opportunities for internships, visits to production locations, as well as participation in writing final and scientific theses, and in this way we actively participate in the academic community and invest in education and the future development of new generation.
Likewise, through numerous sponsorships, donations and financing, we support the projects of local communities and municipalities where our farms and business facilities are located.
Long-term successful cooperation with local community is visible through many projects:
By the establishment of its Foundation in 2007, Adris grupa, one of the leading Croatian companies, wanted to make a breakthrough in social responsibility. It also wished to offer direct assistance to the development and progress of Croatian society, through the promotion of social responsibility among Croatian companies and the general public.
This action set new standards, which will have to be followed by other Croatian companies if they wish to be perceived as socially responsible. Through the systematic directing of funds from operations to philanthropy, Adris grupa strongly affirmed its corporate social responsibility and the concept of active participation of large and successful companies in the creation of advanced social environment for all citizens. Thanks to the support of the Adris Foundation, hundreds of projects, individuals, associations and institutions achieved their goals, leaving a deep imprint in the fields of science, culture, preservation of natural heritage, creativity, youth work, care for persons with disabilities, humanitarian actions, etc. One of the important projects for our local community funded through Adris Foundation is:
City of Nin, Project manager: Jozo Mustać
The mentioned project of renovation of the promenade includes the area along the mantle of the city walls, from the upper stone bridge and the upper city gate to the lower Nin bridge and Bardeline, thus connecting the two entrances to the historic center of Nin.

Cromaris focuses on the protection of the sea and the marine environment and collaborates with key stakeholders to find sustainable solutions.
One of these projects is “Bio balls for a bio future”, which Cromaris implements in cooperation with the Primary School “Petar Lorini” in Sali. Cromaris experts educated the students about the biodiversity of the Adriatic Sea and the protection of marine habitats. After that, about 70 students, with the help of Cromaris employees, made balls from clay and microorganisms that enrich the marine environment with oxygen and useful elements.

In cooperation with the MORNARIS Association, Cromaris has set up a mobile exhibition “Treasures of the Adriatic Sea” from May 20-31, 2024 in Zadar at the Višnjik Sports Center parking lot. Over the course of 12 days, the exhibition was visited by 7,455 people, with special interest from elementary school and kindergarten students who created large crowds at certain times. On the occasion of the International Day of Biodiversity and Nature Protection Day in Croatia, Cromaris enabled kindergartens, schools and the citizens of Zadar and their guests to participate in education about the protection of the Adriatic Sea and the importance of consuming fish and seafood. The exhibition, which arrived in Zadar for the first time, displays 225 exhibits from 65 species, including 6 strictly protected organisms, and provides an interactive underwater adventure through interesting lectures.

Cromaris actively supports numerous local activities that are of great importance to the community. Some of the key events and initiatives we supported this year include:
TOČ Festival, Wings for Life, Tuna Sushi Festival, Fish & Jazz Festival, Sea and Salt Festival, Sukošan harbor cleaning action, Mali Šampioni Sports Recreation Association athletic camp, Zadar Street Food Festival, Dalmatinko Cup, Weekend Food Festival. We are also a proud sponsor of KK Zadar, the most famous basketball club in Zadar.
