Superior Taste Award for Cromaris Products

The Superior Taste Award awarded by iTQi (International Taste & Quality Institute), based in Brussels, is a guarantee of excellent flavour and high quality of products. Products are evaluated through a blind test, based on their appearance, aroma, texture and flavour, with judges unaware of the brand and the origin of the product being tested. Products that score over 70% are awarded the prestigious Superior Taste Award with one, two or three gold stars, similar to Michelin stars in the field of gastronomy.  Cromaris won the Superior Taste Award 2018 for all three of its tested products: sea bass, sea bream and meagre. Sea bass was awarded the maximum three gold stars for its exquisite flavour with a score of 90.2%, while sea bream (86.2%) and meagre (86.9%) were both awarded two stars for their excellent flavour as well. This was the first time Cromaris took part in this prestigious certification of food and drink flavours and quality, among the largest brands in the industry, which makes it an even bigger success.  This year, products from 90 countries were evaluated by 175 judges selected among the most prestigious culinary and sommelier organisations such as: Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, Académie Culinaire de France, Federazione Italiana Cuochi, World Master Chefs Society (WMCS), and Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI).
