Cromaris d.d., as a member of the Adris Group, aims to be a leader in Mediterranean aquaculture, contributing to the overall development of the industry precisely with its knowledge, experience, responsible business practices and innovations.
Commitment to sustainability has been an integral part of our corporate culture for many years. Since 2020, it has been publishing Sustainability Reports in Croatian and English on its website. The report for 2023 is the fourth in a row and the last one made according to GRI Standards 2021 and sector standard GRI 13: Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries.
The report for 2024, which we will publish by April 30, 2025, will be made in accordance with the Corporate Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (ESRS).
We have already taken the first step for reporting according to the ESRS, i.e. double materiality assessment. We assessed the effects of our business on the environment, society and human rights, as well as risks and opportunities. The Board and representatives of all organizational units of Cromaris d.d. are included in the assessment of double materiality.
In the next step, we will include significant stakeholders in the value chain in the assessment of double materiality, and in 2024 these will be our employees, customers, suppliers, local communities, non-governmental organizations and local self-government units responsible for issuing concessions, decisions and permits for mariculture. By the end of 2024, we will harmonize the business strategy and business model of Cromaris d.d. with ESG targets based on double materiality assessment.
The continuous alignment of business with sustainability goals was also rewarded by the expert jury of the portal „Ja trgovac“ and awarded Cromaris with „Zlatna košarica“ award in the Socially Responsible Company category for the year 2023.
